Family

Family to me is someone who loves and cares about you no matter what happens. I consider my parents, grandparents, brother, and sisters to be family. My god father and god mother is like family even though they are not related to me by blood. I would consider one of my best friends as family because he's known me my whole life and has been there for me when I needed him. There probably is some more people but I just didn't mention that I would consider family.

Joplin

I think this tornado that happened in Joplin is pretty crazy. That tornado in Joplin that recently just happened on Monday May 23rd, 2011 killed at least 116 citizens when it took Joplin Missouri off the map and slammed straight into its hospital. The cars and houses looked like crunched up soda cans. Joplin was the nation's deadliest single tornado in about 60 years and the second major tornado disaster in less than a month. Many citizens had 10 to 17 minutes of warnings.

My Choice

Today is going to be a nice day to go ride my bike. I might go to the bmx track and jump but I hope I don't fall again and break something else. The last time I fell I broke my clavicle and got knocked out for like 5 minutes. I didn't remember what happen which kind of sucked. My grandma came down this week to come visit. We haven't seen her for like 3 weeks or longer. I can't wait tell Tuesday when I go see my PO and she increases my curfew to later than 5 o'clock.

Generation

In my generation my parents are obviously older than me and get to do a lot more stuff because of their ages. I'm pretty sure when my mom was my age she didn't get to do all that much. My grandpa was pretty strict on my mom. My mom tells me I will have a chance to do what I want when I'm 18 which is in a year and 2 1/2 months.

If got that chance to change something in my life it would be to move to Miami Florida because I have been wanting to move there for awhile now. I don't really like Oregon anymore. I lived here for my whole life and its kind of getting lame to me now. I think it would be pretty cool to move to Miami because its nice and hot.

Advertising

I wouldn't say advertising affects me. On commercials the businesses advertise a lot of expensive cool stuff that I want but can't afford.  It just depends when I have the money and if I see something that I like that's not to much I might get it. There is a lot of things in the stores I wanted to get but I didn't because I didn't really need it.

tv shows

I watch TV for like 30 minutes to 3 hours a day just depending on if there is something good on TV that I would want to watch. I like to watch comedy shows because its kind of funny to watch. My favorite shows are George Lopez, Family Guy, Cops, and sports. One show that I really dislike is Hannah Montana because its one of my little sisters favorite show and she watches it like all the time. She doesn't care if its a new one or a old one she has already seen she will still watch it again and again.

The Witch of Blackbird Pond is a book about a girl named Kit who moves from Barbados to America in 1687.She moved to her aunt Rachels in Wethersfield. Her grandfather has died and she is going to go live with her aunt. The town she moves to is full of puritans who are much more religious than she is. Kit is constantly doing thing's that make her look strange to the people in America because her culture in Barbados is so different. She felt like a tropical bird that has flown to the wrong part of the world. In the meadows she feels completly free without no one treating her with no respect at all.

Main message

In this book, the main point is about this girl named Kit who moves to a new town where people treat her different then where she moved from. In today's world people need to learn to treat people good and not just dislike them because how they look, smell, talk, and dress and this story shows us that by the way they treat Kit when she moves to the new town. If there is one lesson I could learn from this story it would be to treat people the same way I would want to be treated.

What happens after

After Kit helps Hannah escape from the mob and Hannah gets on the ship. The old woman slipped through the trap somehow. A couple of fellers took a shot at the cat that comes running out the house with a mouse in its mouth. They think is Hannah Tupper because its not the first time she has changed herself into a creature.

My two choices for the Witch of Blackbird Pond final project is to write a book review and post it on amazon, and write a newspaper article.

Treated Fairly

I think people in our community are treated pretty fairly. The reason why I think people are treated fairly is because people have their mistakes and sometimes get over it. I feel like a people shouldn't be judged if they look funny, talk funny, smell funky, and people that are known as (bums). I was with some old friends of mine and they were wanting to pick a fight with this guy they have never seen before for no reason at all.

John Holbrook & William Ashby

William Ashby is a respectful person. He has a lot of courage for what he does. William is building a house for Kit and himself if they get married. He's pretty patient on waiting to marry Kit. John Holbrook likes Mercy. John is studying with doctor Bulkley he's studying religion and medicine. What William and John have in common. They both are men and they both come over a lot to see the girls they are in love with.

4/18/11

Today is a alright day so far. I'm kind of sleepy, but other then that it should be a great day. My weekend was pretty chill. I actually got to stay the night at my friends house for 2 days. We played games like all night tell like 3 o'clock  in the morning it was pretty fun. I'm in a good mood today and I didn't really have any problems getting up.  I just wasn't really wanting to come to school and when I woke up my stomach was hurting. But its feeling better now then at 5:00 in the morning.

Judiths Character

Judith is a type of girl that cares for herself and she's kinda selfish. Judith likes John but he likes Mercy. Only if Judith knew that she would probably not like him. I think she would say something mean to Mercy. When Judith first met Kit she didn't like her but as the story goes on she starts to get nicer and nicer to Kit. Now that John told Judith that he didn't want to go with her. He wanted to stay with Mercy instead. Judith lied to her dad by saying John said he wanted to marry her.

People didnt like Hannah, and they also thought she was a witch. She was a Quaker and lived by herself in the meadows. Kit, Nat, and Prudence went to visit Hannah and they thought she was nice.

Little white lies

I think it just depends on what it is. But most likely I wouldn't say anything. I would just act like it never happened. Sometimes when you tell on someone for the littlest things. They get into trouble like getting grounded, given more chores then they normally have. An example is I just got home and I walked into my room and there was a lot of water on my stuff in my room because of my little sisters wanna play with water balloons. Do you think I'm going to tell? No I'm not because it isn't going to make it dry its just going to cause drama.

My Goals For The Last 10 Weeks of School

My goals for the last 10 weeks of school are that I'm going to get all of my scores up so that way next school year I will have some almost completed. I'm going for my GED because I have 0 credits as a sophomore and that is not good at all. Tomorrow we have testing and I hope I do good on all my test I take. Wish me luck. Sometimes I will get nervous before I take a test maybe its because I don't know if I'm going to pass it. Another one of my goals for school is to be here on time everyday and not skip like I used to.

    This is Kit. I just wanted to let you know how I am doing. Barbados is better than Connecticut. Connecticut is a strange place and I thought it was going to be better than it is. The people are much different then in Barbados they dress weird, smell kind of funky, talk different, act different, and even do different things then I am used to. But other than that I guess we can say its been a ok place to live.

Spring Break

My spring break was alright until 5 o'clock came. I would go ride my bike around tell 5 then go home and play my xbox. There's not all that much to do with a 5 o'clock curfew it kind of sucks. On Tuesday my sisters and I rode are bikes to their school park.On Friday I had to go see my P O at detention to get my finger prints taken. Other then that I was kicking it with my little sisters at home. That's what I did over my spring break.

What I'm going to do with my extra day off

My extra day off I'm thinking about kicking it with some friends at my house. I cant leave because I'm on house arrest it kinda sucks but ill get over it. The movies sounds kinda fun too I'm  going to go see what movies are out. Maybe I might read for a hour or two to make up for no school tomorrow. Going shopping for a little while with my mom and sisters. Going to go get my ears pierced at Clair's and after a week or so get them gauged pretty big but not nasty big. Help clean the house that way my mom will stay in a good mood when she gets home from school. Play some xbox live with some friends. I'm not sure if my grandma is coming this weekend to come and visit but if she does it will make my weekend better because I haven't seen her for awhile. I'm thinking about getting my tattoos redone on Friday. Other then that I'm going to be pretty bored if I don't get to do anything.
